Barony Campus

The Barony Campus is a new build High School, Primary School, ASN School and Early Years Centre. The site is located on the edge of Cumnock, immediately adjacent to the historic designed landscape of Dumfries House. The landscape design has therefore to both respond to the wider urban and rural context and create innovative outdoor learning and play spaces for the wide range of ages and abilities of children and young people that will attend the campus.

Our scope included full detailed design of all external elements and the preparation of a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment to assess the effects on landscape character and visual amenity of the new school building. In addition, the project provides upgraded outdoor community sports facilities and upgraded public riverside walks including the integration of a core path.
