Studley Royal

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens is an 18th C English Designed Landscape and World Heritage Site. The National Trust appointed rankinfraser after a competitive interview to work with Feilden Fowles Architects on the redevelopment of the Canal Gates entrance at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens. The project is current at RIBA Stage 2 exploring conceptual approaches to the extension of a Victorian Lodge Building and the adjacent arrival spaces and garden. Our approach is based on a detail analysis of the components of the 18thC English landscape garden and the specific character of the Water Gardens.
