Gorebridge Community Hub
We have been appointed by Gorebridge Community Development Trust to work
with Lee Boyd Architects on the design of a new community facility in Gorebridge.
On a complex site the landscape design is intended to act as the connective tissue
between several community facilities including the proposed hub.

SNH
Information Point
Working with StudioLR we have designed an information
point and small shelter for Scottish Natural Heritage’s Battleby Headquarters.
The structure will be constructed from sustainably sourced Scottish oak and stone
filled gabion baskets. The stone is being sourced from an on site store of building
materials reclaimed by SNH from previous renovation work, thus minimising transport
costs and re-using a local stone.

Speirs Locks wins BURA Award
Speirs Lock Masterplan has won the Strategy
and Masterplanning Award at the 2009 BURA Waterway Renaissance Awards.
The jury stated "The project illustrates the effectiveness of delivery by the joint
venture vehicle. It demonstrates best practice in terms of the community and stakeholder
engagement process, to produce a framework consistent with the sustainability charter.
It makes excellent use of design guidelines and the design process. The significance
of the submission is not simply in the masterplan itself but the approach being
taken which successfully integrates and sets best practice in all of the elements
that are required to deliver transformational and sustainable regeneration."

a garden for an advertising
agency
we were asked to help Newhaven, our neighbours at 77 Montgomery Street,
to realise their ideas for a "ned-proof garden which requires no maintenance and
can be used for both parties and entertaining clients". Timber decks and screens
and artificial grass were combined with demountable over head canopies to keep the
sun off your laptop screen.
