Lighthouse Park and Western Harbour Park form the two principle open spaces within the Western Harbour Masterplan for the former dockland areas of Edinburgh. Lighthouse Park is a 1ha coastal park characterised by wide open spaces, undulating land form and long views across the Firth of Forth. Ornamental grasses, bespoke timber furniture and coastal wildflowers and pines give a strong sense of identity. Western Harbour Park is a 5ha urban park organised around a linear programmed strip which complements a series of large open fields which offer much needed free spaces for the city.
