Experience

Alice graduated with distinction from the University of Edinburgh in 2024 with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture. Her work was awarded the ESALA Postgraduate Prize for best performing student in the academic portfolio and the T Bowhill Gibson Scholarship for the best site visit.

Alice’s final year project was based in Iceland, where philosophies of landscape identity, Indigenous animism, and in-situ landscape experimentation informed an adaptive and interactive approach to the multi-dimensional symptoms of a changing climate on the inhabited fringes of Europe’s largest ice cap. The project was underpinned by the belief that facilitating modes of culture-nature engagement is at the core of successful design interventions that generate positive global environmental attitudes.

Since joining rankinfraser in 2025, Alice has contributed to projects related to residential, educational and specialist care environments throughout Scotland. She also has previous experience in public realm design, community engagement, and landscape strategy across the UK.
