New Edinburgh Gin Distillery & Visitor Centre
The new Edinburgh Gin Distillery & Visitor Centre was completed in 2024. The new distillery is situated in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, the site is located at the end of the arches on East Market Street. The building, designed by Staran Architects, comprises a new build element which sits over five of the Victorian arches. The visitor experience, designed by Contagious, includes gin making and tasting rooms within the arches.
The landscape design elements comprise the streetscape and building entrance on East Market Street and the roof terrace accessed from Jeffrey Street.
The roof terrace garden showcases botanicals used in the Edinburgh Gin making and includes a publicly accessible viewing terrace that has views across the city.
