Experience
Marije graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia in 2022 with a Master’s of Landscape Architecture. Since then, she has worked on a variety of projects across the private and public realms in Vancouver, Canada.
Marije’s background in the visual arts and outdoor education inform her understanding of landscape design as an ongoing and collaborative practice between designers and the existing ecologies and communities of a site. Having previously worked on projects from concept design through to completion, she brings her planting knowledge, her instinct for detail, and a sensitive, collaborative approach to project coordination and design.
Previous completed projects include ecologically sensitive and planting-forward private gardens, and a public nature-based playground.
Joining the rankinfraser team in August 2026, Marije has contributed to a variety of projects throughout Scotland, including public realm, student accommodation, and educational and specialist care environments.
